BC Association of Farmer's Markets 2021 Conference
Due to the live meeting restrictions of the Covid pandemic the BC Association of Farmers Markets (BCAFM) invited 10 musicians to voice their views on their experiences playing at farmer's markets throughout BC and to play a recorded live song during the breaks at their 2021 spring virtual conference. Most musicians have not been able to play in public or with their friends for a little over a year now so this idea and opportunity was very much appreciated by all involved.
Ogopogo Live @ June 2017 Victoria Block Party
Ogopogo is the legendary creature of the deep that lives in Lake Okanagan, British Columbia. Legends of Ogopogo originated from the Okanagan tribal nation and early reports predate modern history. A modern dam at the lake’s outlet now prevents Ogopogo from leaving the lake via the Okanagan River, which flows south to join the Columbia River.
Numerous credible sitings have occurred over the years. Searching for Ogopogo is a popular tourist and local activity.

Voyageur Songs @ June 2017 Victoria Block Party
Voyageur Songs was written to be played upon Canada’s national guitar, Six String Nation that is nicknamed Voyageur guitar.
The song tells the story of the early voyageurs sharing their adventures and enduring their daily hardships as they paddled their heavily laden canoes. They sang their songs to set their stroke timing and to ease their burden and to share their joys and sorrows. They sang and swapped songs while they paddled, at the camps where they met others travelling the same trade routes, and at the forts where they did their trading.
Voyageur guitar carries on the tradition of travelling about sharing and trading songs. Modern days voyageurs are the singers, songwriters and troubadours that do the same thing sharing and trading songs at music festivals, campfires and folk events.
