H E Double Hockey Sticks Lyrics
Drill Baby Drill - Spill After Spill
Oil and water do not mix. The Greeks and Romans decreed this same message thousands of years ago but we still fail to heed the warnings.
More and more we are driven by mega-projects that have complete disregard for the intricate interwoven dependencies of all living things. These projects destroy complete ecosystems.
Bucky the Beaver
Bucky the Beaver was written to convey the simplicity of Canada’s most iconic and industrious animal. On a political level, the song intends to emphasis how we manage our abundant natural resources and how much we depend upon them them.
Bucky cheerfully sings of having no worries beyond sitting around getting fat. It all boils down to “Chewing wood is all I need to do.” Unlike our forest industry, Bucky’s time is spent making himself all of the things he needs to survive and to have fun out of wood.
Bucky's outlook stands as in stark contrast to the ever growing mega-projects that occur in all natural resource sectors across Canada. As a country we focus more on exporting our raw resource products to foreign countries rather than creating our own high quality products for export or domestic consumption.
